For enhanced surface quality and longer lasting skid resistance
Steel slag has inherent properties that make it ideally suited for use as a surface course for roadmaking. Apart from its exceptional strength and durability, which extends the life of the road and lengthens the road maintenance intervals, it achieves high skid resistance and maintains this throughout the life of the road as a result of its capacity to regenerate its surface roughness over time.
From an environmental standpoint, using steel slag avoids the use of quarried materials and landfill of residual slag product. We partner with councils, local authorities and contractors nationwide to deliver durable roads for a sustainable world.
